The Denver Broncos will have history on their side when they face the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in Week 15.
These two teams haven't played a ton in the history of the two franchises, 11 times to be exact, but when they have the Broncos have basically won them all.
In the 11 matchups between the two teams, the Broncos are 9-1-1 against the Cardinals. So, it is safe to say either history is on the Broncos' side in this matchup, or they will be on the wrong side of history.
The last time these two teams played was in 2018 when Case Keenum and the Broncos won 45-10. That Broncos team would end up going 6-10 on the year.
Denver has won the last two matchups between these two teams, meaning the Cardinals' last win against the Broncos came in 2010 when they won 43-13. Other than that game, and 1973 when the two tied, the Broncos have dominated this matchup.
In the all-time series, the Broncos have outscored the Cardinals 334-159, and have 4,156 yards of offense to Arizona's 2,748. If those stats don't scream dominance, I don't know what will.
These two teams are not having the season anyone thought they would be having, at all. For Denver, we all know the tune of that song. They picked up Russell Wilson, a new head coach, and were thought to be a playoff team, but they aren't even close.
The Cardinals started the season last year as one of the best teams in the league. They were a playoff team last season but find themselves far on the outside looking in as they sit at 4-9.
Oh, and their star quarterback Kyler Murray is out for the season with a torn ACL.
This game could favor the Broncos.
