Sean Payton certainly won't rush hiring his entire coaching staff. He will take his time and choose his guys very carefully.

The Denver Broncos and their fans will appreciate that as the veteran HC attempts to right the ship in the Mile High.

Last season, special teams was a massive flaw for the Broncos. Their unit was one of the worst in the NFL, and Payton won't allow that to be the case again during his tenure.

In New Orleans, the Saints consistently had a solid unit on special teams. The return game was especially exciting during his time down south.

Now, he will try to bring that dynamic to the Broncos. He's hired his special teams coach that he believes can do that.

The Broncos' new ST coordinator is Ben Kotwica.

Mike Westhoff, former Saints ST coach, will assist him in his duties with the unit.

Kotwica has a long resume in the NFL. He isn't new to the role of ST coordinator at the professional level, and the Broncos need that experience. Kotwica has been a special teams coach since 2013.

He's had stints with the Falcons, Commanders, Jets, and Vikings.

Kotwica will look to turn around the below average special teams play that has haunted the Broncos for years now.
