The Broncos are hosting an NFL Draft prospect on a visit that could hint at another big move for Denver
The Denver Broncos may not be done making big-time moves this offseason.
The Denver Broncos pulled off one of the biggest moves of the offseason this week by trading for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Waddle, a former Alabama standout who was the No. 6 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, spent the first five seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins.
Landing Waddle gives the Broncos the elite playmaker they badly needed to add this offseason.
Denver Broncos may not be done making big moves
The Broncos traded a first-round draft pick to the Dolphins in exchange for Waddle.
As a result, Denver’s first selection in the 2026 NFL Draft won’t come until the second round (No. 62 overall).
Despite not holding a first-round pick, the Broncos are still set to visit with Texas A&M wide receiver K.C. Concepcion, who has been regularly mocked as a late first-round selection.
The only way the Broncos are drafting Concepcion is if they trade back into the first round.
So is Concepcion’s pre-draft visit with the Broncos a hint that Denver is considering trading back into the first round?
It’s certainly possible that it could happen — you never rule out surprise draft day trades — but it doesn’t necessarily seem likely to happen.
But if the Broncos were to trade into the first round, Concepcion is a player that would make sense for them to target. The former Aggies standout fits the mold of the type of offensive playmaker that Broncos head coach Sean Payton loves — he’s a great route runner, he’s great after the catch, he can line up in the backfield, and he’s excellent at finding holes in zone defenses. Concepcion is an ideal fit for the Broncos.
But will they love him enough to trade back into the first round?
That may depend on how the pre-draft interview goes. If nothing else, the Broncos will at least get to know Concepcion in case he becomes available in a couple of years.
