The Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers are set to square off at Empower Field in Denver, Colorado.

Denver, led by Sean Payton and Russell Wilson, hasn't come close to meeting expectations heading into this season as the team finds themselves already at a near 0% chance of making the playoffs. Another loss could be what sends this team into a massive fire sale.

Here's a quick breakdown of the inactive players for this afternoon's game.

Broncos:

  • S JL Skinner
  • CB Riley Moss
  • OLB Thomas Incoom
  • C Alex Forsyth
  • NT Keondre Coburn
  • DE Elijah Garcia

Packers:

  • WR Malik Heath
  • CB Jaire Alexander
  • S Zayne Anderson
  • LB De'Vondre Campbell
  • T Caleb Jones

Observations

The Denver Broncos need to win this game or else things are about to get really ugly in Denver. While Wilson hasn't been the biggest issue on this team through the first few games of the season, they need to find a way to win.

Having Greg Dulcich placed on IR takes away one of his biggest weapons, which could be a reason the offense has struggled in recent weeks. However, the defense is the biggest cause for concern as they've been getting torched left and right throughout the short NFL season.

The Broncos got some good news as it doesn't appear any key starters will be out of the matchup while the Packers are dealing with a big loss to their defense in Jaire Alexander's absence.

Injuries don't appear to be a big concern heading into the matchup so there will be limited excuses for this unit to not show up and compete. Here's hoping Payton doesn't show the world his plays and the team can somehow, some way find a way to get back in the win column.
