Denver Broncos fans can breathe a sigh of relief, Jerry Jeudy is here to stay… at least for one more year. The front office decided to pick up his fifth-year option keeping a top receiving threat with Russell Wilson for another year.

Over the past few months, the rumor mill has been running rampant with different scenarios regarding the Broncos losing out on either Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, or both.

Jeudy, rightfully so, was unhappy with the production on the field last season which made the trade rumors heat up rather quickly. Now, with this decision from the front office, those discussions should be dead in the water.

Tom Pelissoro broke the news of the Broncos' front office decision to keep Jeudy for another year. Fans of the NFL were divided, some claiming Jeudy would have a monster year while others are concerned he may be in a less-than-ideal situation to succeed with Wilson as his quarterback.

Sean Payton, since his arrival, has done his best to put his fingerprints all over the team. From convincing former employees to un-retire to join the organization, to making sweeping preseason changes months before games are played, and making deals to set the organization up for long-term success, things feel different.

Payton, additionally, has had to navigate some difficult conversations during his short tenure in Denver. Russell Wilson's locker room drama last season and the overall negative cloud cast over the team have been a difficult road to navigate for the newly-acquired head coach. That's exactly why George Paton and the organization brought Payton in. So far, Payton has been hitting home runs left and right with his organizational decisions to turn the team around.

Jeudy staying with the Broncos is yet another win for the front office. Now, Payton can continue to do what he's been doing since taking over the team: focus on the future.
