On Saturday afternoon the Denver Broncos lost a starter in Jonas Griffith to a dislocated elbow. The reports so far are that he probably won’t be back until week six.

So, the Broncos went out and signed free agent linebacker Joe Schobert.

Schobert played four seasons in Cleveland, one in Jacksonville, and one in Pittsburgh just last year.

In 2021 Schobert finished with one interception, six passes deflected, one forced fumble, and 112 total tackles. It’s fair to say that Schobert definitely deserves a job somewhere in the league, whether it be a backup or starter.

As it turns out, Schobert had been offered to play linebacker for several other teams, but turned them down for the Broncos.

According to Vic Lombardi of AltitudeTV, a Local Denver sports outlet, Schobert recently bought a home in the Sedalia area, a community right outside of Denver. Schobert was set on playing for the Broncos.

The Denver Broncos have set a culture to where other people want to come and play for them. That’s how it should be too, especially if you are a franchise like the Broncos that have a ton of history.

Now, hopefully Schobert can help the Broncos win some football games.
