The Denver Broncos' victory over the Green Bay Packers was not without controversy as Kareem Jackson was once again flagged for using his helmet to initiate contact, a big point of emphasis on the NFL this season.

As Ari Meirov on X, formerly known as Twitter suggested, Jackson has been front and center in the national spotlight with infractions happening like this throughout the short NFL season. Jackson has been in trouble for this very thing at least three or four times already.

Just a few weeks ago, against the Washington Commanders, Jackson was ejected for a brutal hit on Commanders TE Logan Thomas.

The NFL has made its official ruling on Jackson, and they're throwing the book at him for these infractions. Jackson will now be suspended for four games for "Violations of unnecessary roughness rules following this Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Continuing on about the suspension, the official release provided the following statement from NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan, "On the play in question, you delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of a defenseless receiver, when you had the time and space to avoid such contact. You could have made contact with your opponent within the rules, yet you chose not to."

Furthering, they announced, "Jackson will be suspended for games against Kansas City, Buffalo, Minnesota, and Cleveland and eligible to return to the Broncos' active roster on Monday, November 27, following the team's November 26 game against the Browns."

As indicated by the report and in conjunction with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Jackson can appeal the suspension, and Tom Pelissero reportedly confirmed that Jackson will indeed appeal the suspension.

Jackson is about to lose a whole lot of money if the appeal falls through. With his current base salary on his one-year contract with his base salary being $2.5M, Jackson missing four games without a gamecheck will result in him losing upwards of $558k.

He needs to play smarter, and cleaner, as the NFL is sending a strong message that these types of plays will not be tolerated.
