The Denver Broncos have now had the chance to recuperate over the weekend after the brutal loss to the Indianapolis Colts. This was a great time to relax, spend time with family, get healthy, and most importantly, assess what went wrong, and what needs to be fixed.

Hopefully, there was a lot of that last part going on this weekend.

From what we have heard the team is heading in the right direction in terms of health, as Russell Wilson and his shoulder are okay, Justin Simmons is practicing again, and a few others are also getting healthy.

As for relaxing, Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said he did plenty of it, and also got to spend time with his family, which is always good. But he also said that he spent a lot of time looking at what the team needs to get better at.

"Negative plays," Hackett said when asked the big question. "I think that has been kind of our nemesis. We have been really good in some explosive passes down the field. I think we are pretty high up there in the league… The amount of get back on tracks we have are just too difficult. We need to be way more efficient on first down, getting positive yards, and even incompletions instead of sacks or penalties. So I think those are the things we are focusing on trying to narrow down what we are great at and continuing to develop in those."

The Broncos won't have any excuses heading into Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers. They are coming off of 10 days of rest since they played on Thursday Night Football last. So, that shouldn't be an issue.

They also had 10 days to figure out what needs to be fixed, which is far longer than any other team has, including the Chargers, who played on Sunday.

The things that Hackett said are all true. They do need to be better in those areas. I think if they can clean some of those things up, we could see a good offensive performance from the Broncos on Monday Night Football.
