The Denver Broncos simply cannot get out of their own way. Tonight, their defense played a fantastic game against the Colts. The offense did not cut the mustard. That seems to be becoming a bit of a trend.

After the game, a couple of odd events occurred. The Broncos' locker room seems to be a bit all over the place. That is understandable after the first month or so of this season.

The Broncos expected to be better than this. It just has not happened for them.

Quarterback Russell Wilson struggled mightily for the Broncos against the Colts. He was clearly distressed after the loss.

Notably, wideout K.J. Hamler was wide open on the final play of the game. Wilson didn't see him and threw an incompletion in the direction of Courtland Sutton.

Hamler had some strong words after the game, and he was understandably very frustrated with the outcome for the Broncos.

The next couple of weeks are vital for the Broncos.

They have to bounce back from a physical and mental standpoint. Denver seems a bit drained, and the fans are getting upset.

The Broncos made a huge move in trading for Russell Wilson and took a big risk in hiring Nathaniel Hackett. Neither move is working out so far.

The frustration is boiling over for the Broncos. Hopefully, they can take a step forward in the coming weeks.
