The Denver Broncos just took a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders this week.
No, they didn't play them on the field. Las Vegas isn't their opponent this weekend, either. Instead, the Raiders just snagged a solid player off of the Broncos' practice squad.
Offensive guard Netane Muti played his first action against the Kansas City Chiefs this past week for the Broncos. He played really well on his 28 offensive snaps.
Muti did not allow a pressure. He was called for one penalty for holding against Chris Jones. Although, Jones is one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL.
Overall, Muti was impressive, but now, he is headed to Las Vegas.
For whatever reason, the Broncos did not protect him after his performance against the Chiefs. It's a bit of a surprising decision considering the team's lack of depth on the offensive line due to injuries.
It was possible that Muti would start this week at guard in place of the injured Dalton Risner. Now, that is off the table.
For the Raiders, it's a great pickup. They need offensive line help badly, and Muti will probably slide into a starting role with them. An AFC West foe just made the Broncos look a tad silly.
