The Denver Broncos made some changes over the bye week, as they should have. However, this was a move that had to be made, for obvious reasons.

Bradley Chubb was recently traded to the Miami Dolphins for a few draft picks. A trade that most agree should have happened because of circumstances and depth.

However, that did fill one void, which is the captain patch Chubb was wearing every Sunday. Which, is the change the Broncos had to make this last week.

With Chubb being traded, they needed to find another guy who could take that captain role, and they did.

"We have named Kareem Jackson as our full-time defensive captain," Hackett said. "He is a guy that has played a lot of games, been around this league for a long time.

"I personally have so much respect for him. Our team does. He is one of the leaders of our team, so he will be our full-time captain for the defense moving forward."

The Broncos were in dire need of some changes and still are. Now, even though this isn't the type of change that really needs to be made, it's still important.

Jackson has been great this year and was already somewhat of a leader on the team. Now, the patch just means he may get to call some coin tosses.
