On Sunday after the game, Nathaniel Hackett dropped a clue about their game plan for Week 16.
The Broncos ended their five-game losing streak on Sunday, beating the Cardinals for the third-straight time and increasing the record between the two to 10-1-1.
Brett Rypien, the backup quarterback, got the start against the Cardinals after Russell Wilson went down with a concussion last week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
He was running for the first down on a third and 11, and was slammed into the ground and appeared unconscious after. Wilson actually passed the concussion protocol for Week 15, but the staff and he agreed that he sit out just in case.
After the big win over the beat-up Arizona Cardinals, the Broncos turned to the Rams, who they will be playing in Week 16 on Christmas day.
"Russell (Wilson) is going to be playing this week (16)," head coach Nathaniel Hackett said on Sunday after the game.
Wilson and the Broncos' offense scored 28 points against the Chiefs and went toe to toe with the second seed in the AFC.
Wilson could bring that same energy and offensive prowess they had in Week 14 to Week 16.
But, let's not leave out how well Brett Rypien played.
"I thought Brett did a good job," Hackett continued.
The Broncos are already giving out who will be their starting quarterback next week, which isn't a huge issue, but I did think it was odd of him to tell everyone on Sunday immediately after the game.
While it makes sense that Wilson is playing there was some skepticism about keeping him out the rest of the season to make sure he is healthy for next season. Nevertheless, we will see Wilson against the Rams.
There has been some skepticism about possibly keeping Wilson out for the rest of the season, or three more games for that matter, just so he doesn't get injured even worse, and is healthy for next season. I guess we will see him against the Rams though.
