A missed call in the endzone on a two-point conversion had the team lose heartbreakingly in their Week 2 contest against the Washington Commanders.

The Denver Broncos were a few plays from victory in both of their games so far this season as the team fell flat in Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sean Payton was brought in to bring back the championship, or at least playoff, ways back to Denver but history doesn't appear to be on their side. The team hasn't had a winning season since 2016 and if history is any indication, chances aren't looking good.

We are not hitting the panic button on the team quite yet. There is plenty of football left to play and it looks like, respectfully, Russell Wilson has remembered how to play QB again. Last year was ugly, but despite him playing well this year, we still remember.

In the team's history, they have never had a winning season after starting the season 0-2. Right now, the Broncos are 0-2 which gives us bubble gut thinking of the prospects for the rest of the regular season.

Conversely, history has shown that a team can bounce back and go on to win the whole thing as the 1993 Dallas Cowboys, 2001 New England Patriots, and 2007 New York Giants have gone on to win the big game.

Now, teams in the past haven't had such a sharp coach like Payton leading the charge. What's more, Payton has a history of making the playoffs after an 0-2 start as his New Orleans Saints were able to sneak into the playoffs back in 2017.

If there was anyone in the league who could pull this team around, it's Payton. We have full faith in his abilities to lead this team back to the playoffs despite the bleak prospect of the team quite literally never doing it when starting 0-2.

Wilson needs to continue to improve, injuries need to calm the heck down, and they simply cannot blow a lead like they did against the Commanders.

What better time to rewrite history and shut down the critics than going on a nice winning run and giving the fans something to cheer about. Right now, all eyes are on Miami as the Broncos have a tough matchup ahead of them.

Starting 0-2 hasn't resulted in a winning season, we don't want to think about the team's history when they start 0-3.
