The Denver Broncos find themselves right back in the drama.
There has been more drama surrounding the Broncos as of late than the drama that happens in a season of The Real Housewives. It's honestly getting old, and just when we thought it died down, the counterpart of the drama fired back.
Sean Payton called out Nathaniel Hackett for the coaching job of last season. And, yes, while it was bad, some things don't need to be said.
Hackett addressed the media on Tuesday and felt the same way.
"Sometimes things are said that are totally uncalled for, and it does bring your team together. I think that's a beautiful thing," Hackett said. "I was probably more surprised that they happened now. I was definitely expecting them in Week Five. Almost thankful we got that out of the way; I understand the way certain people feel and think."
After he realized how bad his comments sounded, Payton walked them back a bit.
"Listen, I had one of those moments where I had my Fox hat on and not my coaching hat. I said this to the team in a meeting yesterday; we've had a great offseason relative to that, you know," Payton said to the media. "And I've been preaching that message. And here I am, the veteran, stepping in it. It was a learning experience for me, a mistake, obviously. I need a little bit more filter. There's a pound of flesh for these guys, and as a coach, you stick up for them. And after a while, you know, we're past that season last year."
Maybe Payton won't respond now, and the two sides will move on. Then, we can all move past this and focus on football.
Maybe not, though. As we all know, the National Football League is the best TV show ever created because you never know what will happen in the next episode.
Broncos HC Sean Payton has great message underneath all of the drama
The Denver Broncos head coach has been in the news a lot lately for all of the wrong reasons.
