One Denver Broncos player has the potential to do something that has yet to be done since 2012, and everyone believes in him.
The last time a player on the Denver Broncos won the Comeback Player of the Year award was Peyton Manning in 2012 when he returned from a pretty nasty neck injury. Manning would go on to win another Super Bowl shortly after winning that award.
The Denver Broncos could have another player up for the same award in 2023. Russell Wilson, who had the worst year of his career in 2022, could easily be the Comeback Player of the Year in 2023 with a great season.
It makes too much sense. The Broncos went and got head coach Sean Payton, who has turned QBs careers around before, as well as franchises, and then they went and fixed some of the offensive line issues.
Bet MGM put out a bet of who will win the award, and 29% of people who did bet placed on Wilson. That percentage is more than any other player you are available to vote for. Wilson's odds are +2500.
Now, I don't think Wilson will win it, but I think he will get awfully close, and it has nothing to do with him.
Damar Hamlin is set to make a potential comeback this year, and if he can do that, he will be instantly the winner of the award. Think about everything he went through, how he nearly not only lost his ability to play ever again but almost lost his life. He is the winner, and I don't know many that would argue against that.
But Wilson would be my runner-up, which is enough in my book.
He didn't have a good year at all last year. If he can lead this team to a winning record and possibly battle for a wildcard spot, then he may be in line to get it done.

The Denver Broncos have a player on their team that is considered a dark horse for the MVP award in 2023.
