The Denver Broncos had the worst offense in football last year, but one NFL analyst has them making big improvements in 2023.

The Broncos can't do worse than they did in 2022. At least, the offense can't, anyways. They were so bad that there were times the fans counted down the play clock for them because the offense couldn't get the snaps off in time. They were mocked all year for how bad the offense was.

So, there is only room for improvement in 2023, especially with everything they added, including head coach Sean Payton. One NFL analyst thinks they will make a jump in 2023.

Denver Broncos: 2022 scoring offense: 32nd 2022 total offense: 21st
Sean Payton's arrival should stabilize an offense that was a staggering disappointment under his predecessor, one-and-done head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Payton has directed some of the league's top offenses over the past two decades, utilizing a variety of concepts and personnel groupings to create mismatches all over the field. As a masterful play designer with ample experience coaxing the most out of an aging quarterback, Payton can alleviate Russell Wilson's issues through clever scheming and superb game management. Moreover, the veteran play-caller will maximize a supporting cast with promising potential, thus eliminating the need for the 34-year-old quarterback to play like a ]one-man show. – Bucky Brooks, NFL

Sean Payton has resurrected franchises before in the New Orleans Saints. People need to remember that before he was there, they hadn't made the playoffs in five years; in Payton's first year, he took them to the NFC Championship. I'm in no way saying Payton will take the Broncos to the AFC Championship, but they will get better.

The offense will feature a lot of the running game in 21 personnel: two running backs and one tight end. They will run a lot of play-action off the running game, where we have seen Wilson succeed in his career.

The Broncos' offense will definitely be better, but that isn't hard. Now it's just about how much better will they get.
