Based on what one NFL analyst thinks, the Denver Broncos best offensive weapon is set to have a huge season in 2023. We have been waiting for Jerry Jeudy to take that next step, and this upcoming season could be the one.

The talent is there; we see it all the time in how he breaks in and out of routes, his release, hands, and everything. He is the receiver with no weakness; he has never had great situations around him. That's where the issue lies. Even last year, the offense was terrible, yet, he still had almost 1,000 receiving yards.

This upcoming year could be different, though. One NFL analyst thinks he will have a much improved season.

Insert Sean Payton, one of the best offensive minds in football history. If anyone can get Russell Wilson back on track, it's the man who brought the Lombardi Trophy to New Orleans. And if Russ is just cooked, well, Payton aggressively targeted Jarrett Stidham in free agency. One way or another, the new head man is going to produce better quarterback play in Denver, which will redound to the benefit of Jeudy. Since becoming the highest-drafted receiver in Broncos history as the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Jeudy's yet to live up to the billing. Still, despite Denver's lackluster season in 2022, the wideout set career bests in catches (67), yards (972) and touchdowns (six). And he really appeared to hit his stride with Wilson down the stretch, posting 100-yard outings in two of the final three games. I think the route-running specialist has another gear. Payton will maximize his talent and show that Jeudy is indeed a true No. 1 wideout. –Adam Schein, NFL.com

Bringing Sean Payton aboard could end up being the best thing for Jeudy at this point in his career. Jeudy has either always been with a defensive-minded coach or just a bad coach, and always a bad offense. Payton's offenses have always been okay. Sure, there have been years where they weren't top 10, but he usually has a good offense.

His offense will put Jeudy in a position to make plays down the field. Payton ikes to run the ball a lot and use two backs in the backfield. This will set up the play-action game, allow Jeudy to go downfield, and, at times, open up the ability to go over the middle. Jeduy can do whatever Payton needs him to do.

If you had to pick one player to improve tremendously in 2023, Jeudy is a pick you can't go wrong with. He's good enough to be a star in this league; he just has yet to have things go his way. There is a reason everyone wanted to trade for him.
