NFL Network analyst reveals why this season will work for Broncos

The Denver Broncos 2022 season was awful. They were quite literally considered one of the worst teams in the league after they had expectations to be one of the best or at least to make the playoffs.
Instead, they finished with the seventh-worst record in the league and didn't even have their own draft pick. So, it's safe to say that things have to go right this time. They have to get it right because of all the things they have already done, in other words trading away draft capital and signing Wilson for a ton of money.
There is a lot of belief out there though that this year will work. One guy in particular, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network thinks this season will be a lot different.
"I actually think this thing is gonna work in Denver with Sean Payton and with Russell Wilson, I think you mentioned it and you said it beautifully to me, it's expectations," Daniel Jeremiah said on NFL Total access. "What are your expectations going in? Well, Russell had expectations when he got to Denver that he was gonna have all these special, you know, Russell loves situations set up in terms of all the things you just mentioned.
"Well, that's all been taken off the table right now with Sean Payton. And if he's looking for somebody to help him in this transition as things are going to change their he's in San Diego in the off-season. Drew Brees is in San Diego in the offseason, they know each other, and they get along really well. Drew can tell him exactly what he signed up for and what he's getting into here with Sean Payton. I think the expectations are gonna be there. And I think this marriage is actually gonna work."
That all makes sense. If it doesn't work now that they gave Wilson his guy, then I don't think there is anything else you could do to fix the problem. The Broncos desperately need this to work, because they have a lot riding on it.
Jeremiah knows a lot about ball. I'm going to go ahead and trust that he knows what he is talking about and believe this next season will be better than the last.
