The DenverBroncos have a very important game coming up against the Buffalo Bills. One that is more important than the last preseason game the Broncos played, in which they beat up on the Cowboys.

Saturday it will be all of the Broncos' backups against a lot of the Bills' starters. This will be a true test for the second team, to see if they can hang with some of the best players in the world.

There are a few players we should probably watch on the Broncos, to see how they fare against starting competition.

Broncos three players to watch against Buffalo

1. Jalen Virgil, WR

The undrafted rookie receiver had himself a day against the Dallas Cowboys. Virgil finished the game last Saturday with three receptions for 83 yards, on five targets. Virgil finished with an average of 27.7 yards.

He was one of the best receivers on the field against Dallas. I'd look to see if that was just a crazy game, or if Virgil is really that good. Going against the competition he will this Saturday will help us determine that. Not only that, but Virgil's roster spot isn't solidified just yet, and Saturday against the Buffalo Bills he may go off just to show people what he is capable of.

2. Stevie Scott III, RB

The run game last Saturday wasn't great if we are being honest. Stevie Scott III was the only one who could really get anything going. He got the most carries of any running back with six and ended with the most yards with 20.

The reason I'd watch Scott is because of how many carries he got last week. He shared snaps with Max Borghi, who was cut this week. Expect the former Indiana running back to get even more snaps.

3. Brandon Johnson, WR

The former UCF receiver had a pretty good game against the Dallas Cowboys and was actually targeted more than any other receiver on the team with six passes thrown his way. Last Saturday, the Josh Johnson-Brandon Johnson connection was great, or I guess you could say the Johnson-Johnson connection.

If Josh Johnson gets the start, look for him to send some more targets to Brandon Johnson. They played well together and could look to do the same thing. With Tim Patrick out for the year, the Broncos are looking for that fourth or fifth receiver spot to be filled. Johnson could do just that,

Hopefully, we can see these guys replicate some of the same things they did last Saturday, or even more.
