A few years ago the Denver Broncos were bought by a new ownership group — the Walton-Penner ownership group, which also featured a minority owner of Lewis Hamilton. That name may or may not ring a bell for Broncos fans. But, let's just say one of the owners of your favorite teams is one of the greatest world athletes of all time.

Lewis Hamilton's Formula 1 career is one of the most decorated in the sport. He first stepped into F1 in 2007 with McLaren, where he impressively ended his rookie season in third place, securing four victories. His first World Championship came in a thrilling 2008 season finale.

Hamilton's trajectory ascended further when he moved to Mercedes in 2013. There, he clinched six more championships in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, equalling Michael Schumacher's record for the most titles. His 2020 season was particularly notable, as he won his seventh championship with his 11th race win of the year, setting a new standard for seasonal performance.

Off the track, Hamilton has made significant impacts. He's a vocal advocate for diversity in motorsport, an outspoken opponent of racism, and a proponent of environmental sustainability.

His record boasts over 100 Grand Prix victories, numerous pole positions, and countless fastest laps, establishing him as one of the all-time greats in F1, and in the eyes of many, the greatest race car driver to have ever competed. His influence and achievements are why the Broncos were so excited to have him on board.

Lewis Hamilton joins Ferrari

After a tumultuous last two seasons with Mercedes, he decided to switch things up. The biggest icon in racing is joining forces with the biggest brand in racing — Ferrari.

Of course, this has been known for some time now. But, on Tuesday, Formula One did their new F1 75 event, where they showcased each team's new uniform kits and liveries for the cars. When Ferrari brought out their new car and the new paint job along with Hamilton in that Ferrari Red race suit, the crowd in London went crazy.

Hamilton couldn't keep the smile off of his face.

It's a new era for the Broncos minority owner, and we will be following along every bit of it here, as will he be following along with the Broncos as they try to overtake the AFC West with the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers being such great teams.
