The Denver Broncos' former quarterback had some great words about the team heading into 2023.
With the NBA Finals in town Thursday night for Game 1 of the Denver Nuggets vs. the Miami Heat, all the stars were out, including one former Broncos quarterback – the sheriff, as they call him.
The Nuggets ended up winning Game 1 and now have three more wins until they can host a parade in the city of Denver, and because of the NBA Finals being in town, the Nuggets and Broncos are getting talked about a lot.
This time during the game, Peyton Manning was asked about how he feels about his former team heading into 2023, and fans of the Broncos will love what he had to say.
"Just saw Russell Wilson out there, Sean Payton is sitting next to me, Sean has brought some new juice here. He is going to get the best out of Russell. Russell feels rejuvenated as well. I like my Broncos. I wish the Chiefs would get out of the division, unfortunately, they aren't going anywhere so we still have some work to do."
Peyton Manning is one of the brightest football minds we have ever seen from a player. He is known for being able to read plays, break them down, and process them faster than almost anyone. As they say, he will forget more about football than I'll ever learn.
So, to hear him say why the Broncos are going to improve and be better has to be exciting for fans. Now, let's see if that actually happens.
