The Denver Broncos have released veteran punter Sam Martin. Martin spent the last two seasons with the Broncos and performed very well. He was with the Detroit Lions before his time in Denver.
The move by the Broncos had nothing to do with his performance. He was a steady punter for Denver, but they did not agree when it came to a contract for the future. The Broncos chose to move on now in order to get a jumpstart on other options around the NFL.
