The Denver Broncos are pretty beat up in 2022, much like they are every year. This year may be the worst we have seen the injury bug strike, too, especially when you consider the level of players that are being forced to sit out due to injury.

Justin Simmons, Tim Patrick, Garrett Bolles, Billy Turner, Javonte Williams, Michael Ojemudia, P.J. Locke, Barron Browning, and that isn't all of them either. Also, after Thursday Night Football, we thought there was a possibility that quarterback Russell Wilson could end up on the list as well.

There was a report that Friday after the game he flew to California to have a procedure done on his shoulder. So, initially, the first thought on many people's minds was that he would miss some time.

On Thursday, Wilson cleared up some skepticism about Monday Night Football.

"I haven't had this particular thing before," Wilson said. "I'll be okay. I'll be ready."

In 10 years, Wilson has only missed three games, all of them last year when he had an injury to his hand. Before that, Wilson hadn't missed a game in nine years and doesn't plan on missing the game on Monday Night Football.

This is huge news. If you know football, you know that Wilson isn't totally to blame for the Broncos' offensive struggles. Yes, he hasn't been the Wilson we know, but the offensive woes aren't totally his fault.

So, now imagine if Rypien was starting against the Chargers, and how much worse the offense would be. Yeah, it wouldn't be great. This team desperately needs everyone healthy, especially if they want to get things back on track.

That starts with the quarterback, the most important player on the team. Now, if Wilson isn't healthy and is still playing on Monday, that could be an issue. however, let's hope he isn't.
