Broncos HC isn't playing around when it comes to his coaching staff
There’s one consistent -and important- trait that sticks out about Sean Payton’s staff
It should really come as no surprise for anyone that knows anything about Denver Broncos new HC Sean Payton. Payton loves experience along his coaching staff.
He wants assistants that have been in the trenches of the NFL and collegiate football. Playing in the NFL certainly doesn't hurt, either, when it comes to snagging a position on Denver's staff.
That experience goes a long way in building a contender at the pro level, and Payton knows that. For the Broncos, their new staff has plenty of it.
From his offensive coordinator, Joe Lombardi, who spent tons of time with Payton in New Orleans to Chris Banjo and Zach Strief, position coaches who played for Payton with the Saints, the levels of experience are impressive.
It's quite the switch up from the staff a season ago. Nathaniel Hackett was at the helm as a first-time head coach. He had some young assistants in the wings, and it just didn't work out.
Payton came in and did what was expected.
He brought in assistants that he trusted in order to get the ship back afloat in Denver.
The Broncos and their fans will probably appreciate that as the team attempts to revive an offense with plenty of talent. The Broncos and their fans will probably appreciate that as the team attempts to revive an offense with plenty of talent.
Payton isn't holding back whatsoever when it comes to his hires, and the front office has done well to supply him with the staff that he prefers so far.
There won't be a lack of experience when it comes to the Broncos new HC and his staff.
