This offseason is a very important one for the Denver Broncos. After what we thought was a successful offseason last year, we realized it was the complete opposite. Now the Broncos are tasked with trying to get it right this time.
The success you have in the regular season starts in the offseason. It starts with free agency, the NFL draft, and even offseason workouts.
The Broncos, just like every team, have an offseason workout schedule, but theirs seemed to get messed up.
During the annual league meetings, the new head coach Sean Payton discussed how the league may have messed up his dates for voluntary workouts.
“We're not having a voluntary minicamp in April. It was on the league schedule, not our schedule.," Payton said.
The league schedule had the Broncos having a voluntary minicamp on April 24-26, which is literally right before the draft. The Broncos will have their things going on then.
So, yeah, I don't blame Payton either for not wanting to do his camp then. This honestly makes the NFL look a bit silly Surely they will get everything fixed and updated.
