The Denver Broncos' third-round draft pick is officially in!
With the 74th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos have selected Illinois wide receiver Pat Bryant.
Everything to know about Pat Bryant
Bryant is one of the most physical wide receivers in this year's draft class. He has an impressive 6-foot-2 frame with 31-inch arm length. He uses his size to position himself well against defenders, and is very sure handed – dropping just one pass in 2024 at Illinois.
Bryant does a great job of winning contested passes and uses his length to outmatch defensive backs on 50-50 throws. He isn't the fastest WR, running just a 4.61 40-yard dash during the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. However, he is an excellent run blocker, which is crucial in coach Sean Payton's offense.
Here's what Bryant had to say about his run blocking abilities.
"I love blocking," Bryant said. "I love contact. I played safety in high school, so I’ve always enjoyed hitting. Sometimes they motioned me inside, kind of like a tight end look, and I had to block the C-gap or take on a safety coming down. It’s all about doing your job to help the team. Seeing my teammates succeed—whether it's a running back breaking a big run or another receiver scoring—makes it all worth it. That's my motto too. No block, no rock."
That mentality will pay off big in the NFL. It will also help him make an impact on special teams, which he should see plenty of action with as a rookie. Bryant will make for quality depth for Denver's WR corps and has the upside to be the No. 2 opposite Courtland Sutton down the line.
Denver Broncos have addressed their biggest remaining roster need in second round of the 2025 NFL Draft
A good fit for Sean Payton’s offense.
