The Denver Broncos are doing everything they can to improve the roster, top to bottom. A wave of signings this week has us excited for the future of the organization.
Sean Payton was brought in to change the entire fabric of the team, and it's looking like he's doing just that. From bringing in former coaches to working out and signing former players, Payton has been busy.
In yet another move for the offense, even if it's a depth signing, Payton is giving Wilson all the weapons at his disposal for him to have a successful season. Payton, once again, looked to his time in New Orleans with a former player joining the Broncos.
Mike Klis from 9News reported that the team has signed veteran RB/special teamer Dwayne Washington. Washington, as Klis reported, played four years for Sean Payton in New Orleans.
Washington, throughout his NFL career, has amassed 168 attempts for 592 yards and one touchdown while appearing in 83 games. Washington spent his first two seasons in Detroit before spending the rest of his career with the New Orleans Saints.
In a subsequent move, the team waived injured DT Forrest Merrill.
I previously reported on another move the front office made this week with Wilson and the offense in mind after they brought in J.J. Koski, another talented WR looking to make a difference in this new offense.
Regardless of how you feel about the Broncos, Payton and the front office are doing their due diligence to make sure there are no excuses this season. All eyes are going to be on Denver and what Wilson is able to accomplish with his shiny new offense.

The Denver Broncos are wasting no time adding important depth to the roster. Getting Wilson more weapons is sure to put a smile on his face.
