The Denver Broncos are making moves, and trying their best to make us forget the devastating last-second loss to the Arizona Cardinals in their first preseason game.
Even if it's preseason, the team still finds a way to rip our hearts out of our chests. Even with the new regime, at least that's still consistent (we're just a little bitter).
In the contest, Wilson looked good when the offensive line could hold up longer than three seconds for him to throw the football. Okay, we're done complaining.
The team made an update after WR Tim Patrick went down with an Achilles injury that ended his season. Mike Klis from 9News reported that the team would be signing WR J.J. Koski.
AtoZ Sports wrote about his workout and what he could bring to the table with his return prowess, especially in the absence of Patrick in the offense.
As for Koski, he was a member of the Col Poly Mustangs for 5 seasons. Koski finished his collegiate career with 121 receptions for 2311 yards and 18 touchdowns before going undrafted. The Los Angeles Rams signed the undrafted rookie where he was active for five games in 2021 which included two punt returns for 20 yards and five kick returns for 89 yards.
Koski is going to need to use these next few preseason games as a dress rehearsal for why he should make the 53-man roster. He has an uphill battle ahead of him as players have had more time to learn the playbook and get continuity in the offense.
Rusell Wilson has to be excited with what the organization has done, outside of bringing in more depth for the offensive line. Payton is bringing in weapons for their franchise quarterback in order for him to be successful this season.
This signing, albeit a longshot, was just another confidence move for the front office to give Wilson all the weapons he needs at his disposal.
