The Denver Broncos are looking to continue their winning ways after finally securing a victory this season, breaking a devastating record and giving Sean Payton and the front office a reason to celebrate.
Unfortunately, in the contest, the team once again suffered from injuries, a reoccurring trend that's happened throughout this short NFL season. It's bled over from last year as the team just cannot stay healthy.
Before the matchup, the team released their last injury report, giving some injury designations for a few key players on both sides of the ball.
For the offense, the team very well could be without C Lloyd Cushenberry III as he deals with a nagging quad injury. Aside from him, RB Javonte Williams is an injury to keep an eye out on. Both are listed as questionable for the upcoming game.
While we love Williams and want him back, the team has found a rhythm with their rookie sensation Jaleel McLaughlin. We will admit, it was against the Bears and the Jets' defense is far better, but if Williams isn't able to go, McLaughlin seems ready.
As for the defensive side of the football, one of the weakest spots on this entire team is the defensive line. Color me surprised that of course there's an injury on the line heading into the contest. DT Mike Purcell was one of three players listed as questionable, joining Williams and Chusenberry.
There is some positive news though as S Justin Simmons, who had been limited all week, was a full participant today. Meaning, the team is going to get back one of their best players, and one of the league's best safeties.
Outside of Simmons, WR Jerry Jeudy looks like he'll be ready, OLB Frank Clark will finally get back on the field, and ILB Josey Jewell as well.
All that's left to do is wait. Here's hoping no one gets injured before kickoff. This team just needs to find some way to get healthy.
Broncos stun with 180 on recent roster decision
The Denver Broncos have decided to trade Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers instead of releasing him.
