Minicamp and OTAs are a time for guys who aren't established to make a name for themselves. It's a time for the rookies or undrafted players, and even bubble or fringe roster guys, to show they belong. The Broncos have had some guys do that, but they have also had some guys show the opposite or even do what they were supposed to, but someone just did better.

Either way, they were still able to come out of the offseason workouts with some guys we can definitely label winners in terms of what they were able to do or the situations that transpired around them.

Broncos winners from offseason workouts

Javonte Williams, RB

If you watched the game he git injured, and then layer saw how bad it was, you know it's pretty impressive that Williams is where he is at right now, this early into his recovery. He is doing amazing. Not only that, but he is trending towards being ready for Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season.

Last year Williams tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), lateral collateral ligament (LCL), and posterolateral corner (PLC), per Pro Football Network. In other words, he has a grueling recovery ahead of him, yet, he is already on the field with the layers doing some individual work. If you ask me, he is easily a winner.

You know who is an athlete? Rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims. This is what Mims had to say about Drew Sanders:

"Drew is an unreal athlete. He’s looked like that since senior year in high school. I mean, the dude is unbelievable."

If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about the guy, then you aren't paying attention to what all the hype is about. Just based on everything we have heard from the offseason workouts, Sanders is an athlete who is one of the more versatile guys on the defense. Sanders can play outside or inside, and his offseason has shown that he will be of good use for the Broncos.

The hype we have heard around Mims so far this offseason has been great. We know he is fast, and that is the biggest thing he will bring to the receiver room, but he is also versatile. He is a guy the broncos like in the return game, and plans to make the future of the receiver room along with Jeudy and Sutton.

He is a winner because a lot of people didn't like the pick when it came across the TV screen on draft night. Frankly, it didn't make a ton of sense. But, now it has fans and media excited about what this offense could possibly be. The things he has done this offseason make him a winner.

The Broncos have already had a much better offseason than they did last year. You can tell that Sean Payton is committed to turning the franchise around, and it's starting to feel like he will do exactly that. It feels like they have made all the right moves too. So, it was hard to choose just three winners from the offseason workouts that have happened thus far. But these three guys have definitely been huge.
