Broncos: Tim Patrick talks about his comeback in viral Instagram post
Broncos country, buckle up. Big things coming for next season.
Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick is ready to start his comeback.
The Broncos, admittedly, could have used his services last year. The talented wide receiver is currently rehabbing from an unfortunate ACL tear that took place during practice before the season could begin.
What's more unfortunate, this isn't the first time a top-level player was lost for the entire season in recent memory from an ACL injury. In 2021, K.J. Hamler suffered a similar injury, leaving the offense stranded.
Patrick was candid and upfront with a brief Instagram message that quickly went viral. Needless to say, this is the type of thing Russell Wilson and newly aquired head coach Sean Payton love to see.
Patrick, speaking on his rehab and eventual comeback into the NFL, posted an unforgettable Instagram story. The caption alone took the internet by storm.
"If you don't think I'm going to be back better than I was before, you're out of your f**king mind."
Almost speaking directly to Broncos fans and the organization, Patrick announced that he was ready. He's hoping that he'll be able to help take the team to the next level and his intentions are clear, he's ready to ball out. His future with the organization is primarily focused on getting healthy and making an impact on Sundays throughout the upcoming season.
The talented receiver is doing all that he can to make it back on the field and become a difference-maker, once again. Teaming up alongside Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton makes for one of the most underrated receiver trios in the entire NFL.
Patrick, the season before his ACL injury, enjoyed an above-average season from a WR3 production standpoint. With the quarterback carousel he was experiencing, Patrick did all he could with what he was given. The budding receiver finished his 2021 campaign with 23 receptions for 734 yards and five touchdowns.
Everyone can agree that the expectations will be heightened coming into next season with Russell Wilson, not Drew Lock or Teddy Bridgewater, at the helm.
It's almost impossible not to root for his comeback. Patrick is beloved across the Broncos circles and his ferocity both on and off the field is something the team desperately needs.
Don't sleep on the Broncos next season, especially if Tim Patrick is back in the mix.
While Sean Payton may have his work cut out for him, we like his chances.
