The Denver Broncos defense has been on fire so far in the last few weeks of the 2024 season. They are playing at an all-time high level, shutting down two great quarterbacks.

They held the Pittsburgh Steelers to 13 points, Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to seven points, and the New York Aaron Rodgers running the show to nine points.

They have been great, and could even carry that over against the Las Vegas Raiders, who are going through their own drama. But what they did against the Jets and Aaron Rodgers, one of the best quarterbacks of all time, is something that's insanely impressive, mainly because it's never been done before.

Rodgers has been in the league for 20 years and has played 235 total games. So, he's seen a lot of different defenses and looks. Yet, this one, the same one that was historically bad last season, giving up 70 points in a game, held him to something that doesn't happen very often. In fact, according to Stat Muse, it's only happened 12 times in Rodgers career.

We can all agree that rookie quarterback Bo Nix hasn't been great, and really wasn't that good against the Jets either. Well, Rodgers played so badly that Nix outplayed him, with a better QBR and threw a touchdown.

This defense and defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has been cooking. It's only a matter of time before it starts getting some national attention.
