One of the best players on the Broncos wants to replicate something special from the 2022 season.

The Broncos only had a little go their way in 2022. The defense was good, but it tailed off toward the end of the season. The offense could have been better and never should be mentioned again for our own sake, and the special teams and coaching were bad all around.

But the final six games gave some fans hope. Sure, in those final games, they only won two of them. However, something was different. The offense was flowing much better. There is also a huge reason – Jerry Jeudy was doing some crazy things on the football field.

He accumulated three touchdowns and 523 receiving yards in his last six games.

"I want to start off the season just how I finished it," Jeudy told reporters on Tuesday.

We would all love for Jeudy to do that. His game against the Kansas City Chiefs, where he scored three touchdowns alone, is one of the best games from a Broncos receiver in some time. He is a huge reason the Broncos even had a chance of winning that one.

As the year went on, he and Russell Wilson started gaining much better chemistry than at the beginning of the season. The beginning of the season could have been better for any receiver, and Jeudy was a guy that wasn't as much of a threat. However, he started showing what fans saw when he heard his name called on draft night.

"I feel I was getting put in good positions. Everything was just being executed right," Jeudy said of his hot streak in the last six games. "Everybody was doing their job at the time. When it comes to football, there are a lot of things that the fans and other people don't see, like the line blocking or the quarterback making a different read, and I feel like everything was just in sync. And that's what caused the success of the last couple of games."

The Broncos truly have a great receiving corps, but some of that gets overlooked because of how last season went. Sure, the receivers weren't great; a lot of them dropped balls, and some just weren't good at all, but the coaching and quarterback play was also a huge reason they were bad.

They have two guys who could be a number one receivers on a few teams in the league. They drafted one of the best rookies in the draft, Marvin Mims, and have speed everywhere around those three guys. This group is solid, and we will see Jeudy take them to another level in 2023.
