Even with the signing of free agent tight end Evan Engram, the Denver Broncos could still use some more playmakers in the passing game.

One of the top wide receivers still available is Cooper Kupp, who was released by the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday. Many insiders believe that Kupp will have a strong market, meaning he'll be able to pick among the teams who show interest in him.

It is unknown if the Broncos have interest in adding Kupp, but according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Denver is one of the places that is appealing to him (H/T Zack Kelberman of Mile High Huddle).

"If Cooper Kupp had his way, I think he would like to be in Denver," Schefter said while on 92.5 FM – Denver's Altitude Sports Radio. "I think that'd be one of the places that would appeal to him. I feel comfortable in saying that."

Kupp has missed 18 games due to injuries over the last three seasons, leading the Rams to release him two years early from the three-year, $80.1 million contract extension that he signed in 2022.

To Kupp's credit, he's remained productive when healthy. He was on pace to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last three years had he been able to stay healthy. However, that's a big if, and it's something for the Broncos to seriously evaluate if they consider signing him.

Kupp had one of the best seasons a WR has had in recent memory in 2021, recording a whopping 145 receptions for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. That earned him Offensive Player of the Year honors for that year. If Kupp can conquer his injury woes and produce even half of his 2021 statistics, he would be worth acquiring.
