Denver Broncos load up with talent around quarterback Bo Nix, plug other roster holes in latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft
Latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft gifts the Denver Broncos quite the haul.
The Denver Broncos are a team that is seemingly still trending upward under head coach Sean Payton. Quarterback Bo Nix has been a lot more up and down in 2025 so far, however, and there have been some questions coming up about whether this team is a contender or a pretender. There is a lot to like about this Denver team, but something does feel like it is missing.
For Payton and the Broncos to maximize this winning window, they must put as much talent around Nix as possible. That was the top priority in the latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft. After that, it was about strengthening what is already a very strong overall roster.
Broncos’ 7-round mock draft
Round 1, Pick 32: Chris Bell, WR, Louisville
The Broncos need to continue upgrading the wide receiver position around Nix. At over 6-1 and 227 pounds, there is a lot of AJ Brown in Bell’s game. He is a physical presence who does some jaw-dropping things after the catch.
Round 2, Pick 64: Max Klare, TE, Ohio State
Super smooth and flexible, the former Purdue transfer is one of the better route runners you will find at the tight end position. Klare hasn’t gotten a ton of opportunities with the Buckeyes yet, but he is slowly becoming a bigger part of a potent passing attack.
Round 3, Pick 96: Whit Weeks, LB, LSU
When Weeks has been on the field, the LSU defense has been tremendous. When he hasn’t been, they have been quite bad. I don’t think that is a coincidence, possessing some nice range for a modern MIKE linebacker.
Round 4, Pick 102: Zane Durant, DT, Penn State
While Durant might be a smaller defensive tackle at 6-1 and 290 pounds, he is lightning quick. There is also a lot more power in his profile than you would initially think as well. This feels like a player who is going to get underdrafted, but then quickly outperform his draft slot.
Round 4, Pick 132: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State
Smooth is the word that comes to mind quickly when watching Iheanachor. He has some of the better movement skills in the 2026 class, but his anchor needs to get better. This is a really impressive developmental swing.
Round 5, Pick 172: Jaeden Roberts, OG, Alabama
The best of Roberts is extremely impressive, but he just hasn’t been nearly consistent enough, and has also had some durability concerns. At this point in the draft, however, he is more than worth a gamble on pure talent.
Round 7, Pick 246: Trey Moore, EDGE, Texas
Moore is a tweener in terms of his physical profile, but he is simply a winning football player. The Broncos have made it a great habit of finding these undersized pass rushers and allowing them to do what they do best: get after the quarterback.
Round 7, Pick 250: Sawyer Robertson, QB, Baylor
The former Mississippi State signal caller doesn’t bring much to the table in terms of premier physical tools. He does, however, play with a ton of toughness inside of the pocket, he is mostly accurate and decisive. There is a path for Robertson to stick as a backup on the next level.
Round 7, Pick 251: Matthew Hibner, TE, SMU
SMU has not featured Hibner much in the passing game for whatever reason this season. At around 6-5 and 250 pounds, he still has, however, a strong baseline as a future contributor as an inline tight end with upside to tap into.
Round 7, Pick 256: Hero Kanu, DT, Texas
The former Ohio State transfer has finally gotten to play this season for Texas and has done some really good things. While there is still a lot of development needed, Kanu is a strong dart throw near the end of the draft.
