The Denver Broncos have an ally on the Miami Heat as they take on the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.

Sure, in the end, if you are a Broncos fan and are from Denver, you probably want the Denver Nuggets to win the NBA Finals, which would be the franchise first ever championship. However, at the same time, you wish nothing but love and success for one guy they will be playing in the series.

It hasn't been long since we all heard the news. One of the best players to ever wear the orange and blue in Demaryius Thomas is no longer with us. It was hard for a lot of people, Jimmy Butler, the star player for the Miami Heat, was one of them.

They were very close, and even brothers, as they called one another, which is why he has so much love for the city he will soon be playing against starting Thursday night. Not many people know it, but he attended a lot of Broncos games in the past. He had a very cool moment with one reporter before the NBA Finals tipped off, where he talked about his friend and the city.

"That's my guy, my brother forever," Butler answered. "I miss him so much and just spent so much time here with him, watching him be great. And, he motivated me because his story is really, really incredible through everything that he's been through to make it. And do what he did for the Broncos. I actually have a lot of love for this city. And as I said, I miss that guy. I wish he was here to sit courtside and watch me do my thing because we talked about this all the time. Maybe not, you know, Denver versus my team. But, just being able to watch me win a championship like he did."

While most Broncos fans don't want him to win, I'm sure hearing something like this raised their respect for him through the roof. On Thursday night when game one of the NBA Finals tips off, I bet you hear some cheers and applause for Butler, who has shown to once again be as classy as they come.
