From WR Tim Patrick going down for the year along LB Jonas Griffith, to then having OL Mike McGlinchey get injured, things have taken a turn for the organization hoping to have a bounce-back year.
Injuries are a part of the game, but for some reason, they appear to be hitting the Broncos' organization harder than most over these past few seasons.
Jeff Legold, ESPN senior writer for the Denver Broncos, reported that Bonitto is going to miss some time, but how much time is uncertain. Specifically, Bonitto was given no timetable for his return with an undisclosed hip injury, an unfortunate update for a rising star looking to make noise this season.
I previously wrote about Bonitto's injury after the preseason game, the latest update is not one that the organization or its fans were hoping to hear. In my previous article, I mentioned Bonitto's solid camp and how he wants to make a difference as a pass rusher entering his sophomore season.
WLB Nik Bonitto suffered a hip injury and his injury designation is unknown at the time of writing. Bonitto has been having a solid camp and is pushing for some more playing time. Bonnito is hoping to turn heads in his sophomore season and wants to make a difference as a pass rusher.
Bonitto has a chance to make a lot of noise this season, here's hoping that he's back on the field in no time and this injury won't put him at risk of missing week one, or worse.
Just get healthy, whatever it takes.
