The Athletic's Nick Kosmider revealed his 53-man roster projection for the Denver Broncos this week and he has a former Tennessee Vols wide receiver making the cut.
Kosmider predicted that Brandon Johnson will be one of six wide receivers that Denver will keep in 2022.
This is the most difficult position to predict at this point and I’ve changed my mind about a thousand times. The bottom line is that Hinton and Johnson have been the two wide receivers who have worked most consistently with the first-team unit in practices alongside Sutton and Jeudy.

Johnson played at Tennessee from 2016 to 2020. He transferred to UCF for his final season of eligibility (the extra COVID-19 season that the NCAA provided for student-athletes).
Oddly enough, Josh Heupel left UCF to take the head coaching job at Tennessee just two weeks after Johnson announced his transfer to UCF.
Johnson didn't reverse course. Instead, he spent the 2021 season at UCF and had the best year of his career, catching 38 passes for 565 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The former Vol went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, but he quickly signed with the Broncos.
I always felt like Johnson was a talented wide receiver at Tennessee who was the victim of some bad offenses and poor quarterback play. It wouldn't surprise me if he's a player who ends up shining in the NFL after not making a major impact at the collegiate level.
