The Denver Broncos have to get this draft right if they want to move forwards, and not backward. Even though it will be harder to move backward on the product they put out on the field last season, it can still be done.

And we know this team isn't going to come in and be a contending team just because they got Sean Payton, no, this team will still be pretty bad, but better.

This draft needs to be executed perfectly with all five picks if they decide to keep all five. Honestly, with two third-round picks and no first or second-round picks available, the Broncos will have a tougher time hitting on prospects than most other teams.

That is the very reason why they should trade up. Look at the prospects they will have to choose from as compared to the prospects they would have gotten to choose from had they had their own pick along with other first-rounders and second-rounders.

When you pick in the third round, the potential for those guys or the availability to play right away isn't as high as the guys in the first or second rounds, usually. Now, that doesn't mean those third-rounders and day-three guys can't hit, because they can. Look at what Kansas City did last year.

But, this is me saying that if they want the guys that are more sure to hit most of the time, they may need to trade up. They can do that too, and they can trade up and get a guy who can be an elite cornerback.

Emmanuel Forbes is a name that everyone should know by now. The former Mississippi State cornerback finished his college career with 14 interceptions, the most in the draft class of all FBS defensive backs. He is a ball hawk, to say the least.

The Broncos love ball hawks, just look at Patrick Surtain II and Justin Simmons. But, they need more guys next to those guys. As things currently stand, the only defensive backs that they have that are starting caliber at the moment are PS2, Simmons, Caden Sterns, and Demarri Mathis. They could bring back Karee Jackson, but we still don't know yet.

Forbes is a guy that is projected to be in the back of the first round, and in recent mocks has been going at pick 30 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles have two picks in the first round, one at pick ten and one at 30. They may be willing to give up their 30th pick to the Broncos for maybe two third-rounders. Then the Broncos could swoop in and grab a guy like Forbes.

And let's say Forbes is already gone by that time, there are still some other cornerbacks that would be great. Cam Smith from South Carolina could be there along with Julius Brents from Kansas State.

It's just a possibility, and I think it would be worth it. Of course, if they did that we would then have to wait until the fourth round for the Broncos to make their second pick, and they would only have four picks in the entire draft. But, I still think it would be worth it if they could grab a guy like Forbes.
