The Denver Broncos are gearing up for some football action as the preseason is set to begin this weekend. Denver is taking on the San Francisco 49ers on the road at Levi’s Stadium Saturday, Aug. 9, at 6:30 pm MT.

And if you’re making plans to catch the game, we’ve got you covered. Here are all the viewing options and what to look out for in their upcoming matchup

How to watch Denver Broncos vs. San Franscio 49ers preseason Week 1

  • Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025
  • Time: 6:30 pm MT
  • Location: Levi’s Stadium
  • TV Channel: KUSA (channel 9), KTVD (channel 20) for local markets, and NFL Network for national markets
  • Radio: KOA (850 AM/94.1 FM) in Denver
  • Streaming services: 9NEWS+ streaming app (if local) and NFL+

What to look out for:

  • TE Evan Engram: In March of this offseason, the Denver Broncos signed two-time Pro Bowl tight end Evan Engram to a two-year deal worth $23M. He’s hoping to bounce back after a down season last year, and the Broncos are excited to have him. Offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi said that Engram has “met or exceeded” expectations in camp so far. He’ll be a fun player to watch out for.
  • RB RJ Harvey: Harvey has had some reps at first team, and while the team did bring in J.K. Dobbins, it’ll be interesting to see how the RB battle plays out. Dobbins is the favorite to win the position, but Harvey is doing what he can to make sure Head Coach Sean Payton keeps him on the field.
  • QB Bo Nix: It’s unclear whether Nix will get any meaningful playing time during the first preseason game, but with what he was able to accomplish last season, we’re just ready to see him in some more action. If Nix is unavailable for the contest, we’ll get a good look at the team’s backups in Sam Ehlinger and Jarrett Stidham.
