The Denver Broncos are looking to keep momentum rolling into Week 8, where they’ll face the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Bo Nix and the offense are coming off a statement win over the New York Giants, fueled by a thrilling fourth-quarter comeback.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, the Broncos gave fans a big reason to be excited. The team appears close to full health, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

That’s not to say the team won’t be shorthanded, though, as linebacker Dre Greenlaw was suspended one game without pay for his actions toward a referee after the win against the Giants. Greenlaw appealed the suspension but was denied, keeping him out one game.

Offensive line battling through injury

Denver is currently atop the AFC West, making a victory that much more impactful on Sunday. Fortunately for Denver, the team had everyone practice at full capacity. Edge rusher Jonah Elliss was dealing with a shoulder injury that had him limited on Wednesday, but he was a full participant in Thursday’s practice.

As for right tackle Mike McGlinchey, it’s a welcome sign that he’s been a full participant. For McGlinchey, anytime a player shows up on the injury report whose job it is to protect the franchise quarterback, it can give cause for concern.

The offensive line is battling through some injuries, which is forcing some backups to play a much bigger role. The left guard position has been ravaged by injury, with left guards Ben Powers and Matt Peart both needing to be placed on injured reserve.

In their absence, fan-favorite left guard Alex Palczewski was forced into action against the Giants and will look to do the same against the Cowboys. His backup, Calvin Throckmorton, would go in if anything were to happen to Palczewski.

With their health trending up and momentum on their side, the Broncos have a real chance to prove its surge is no fluke. A win over Dallas would send a clear message that the Broncos are for real.
