Broncos Injury Report: Multiple playmakers out for Denver, with Bo Nix feeling the impact of the latest team update
The Denver Broncos are looking a little shorthanded ahead of their Week 3 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
After an ugly Week 2 loss for the Denver Broncos, the team is looking forward. The Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers have a divisional matchup in Week 3, with Denver hoping to bounce back after a few costly mistakes and a leverage penalty in the closing moments of its Week 2 loss against the Indianapolis Colts.
Denver released its first injury report, and the week isn’t off to a great start. The team is down multiple playmakers, impacting both the offense and defense, all while continuing an unfortunate trend for Dre Greenlaw and Evan Engram early in the 2025 season.
Justin Strnad and Greenlaw did not practice, and Talanoa Hufanga was limited. Nix can’t be thrilled to be missing Engram entirely during practice while he’s dealing with a back injury. One of the top weapons heading into the season has had to battle through injury throughout 2025.

Broncos’ latest team update has injuries on both sides of the football
The linebacker room is a bit banged up after a tough matchup against the Colts. Strnad’s availability over the next few days will be something to monitor as he’s flashed in the early stages of the 2025 season with multiple sacks.
Greenlaw still isn’t quite there yet, with Sean Payton saying that they are kind of on the same schedule regarding his recovery and timetable to return. He didn’t offer much, and what he did say came off as cryptic. The team avoided placing him on IR to start the season so he wouldn’t miss the first four games.
Having Adkins back in the offense was a great sign, as the front office has expressed how important the tight end is to the offense. For Engram, he’s been popping up on the injury report since the season began, and perhaps his struggles on offense could be attributed to his lack of reps with his quarterback. Engram has played in 38% of the offensive snaps on average (34% in Week 1, 42% in Week 2) through two weeks of action.
Broncos Country was hoping to see a continuation of his preseason performance, but he’s only managed four catches for 33 yards thus far. There’s still plenty of time to get healthy and right the ship for Engram, despite his unavailability on Wednesday.
While appearing on the injury report, both Bonitto and Singleton were able to fully practice. With more updates coming on Thursday and Friday ahead of the contest, it’s far too early to rule anyone out of the matchup.
Denver has plenty to clean up before Sunday — and the injury list is making it harder.
