We are just a little over one month away from the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Denver Broncos will look to round out their roster with the seven picks that they have following an impressive free agency period. They could still use some weapons on offense, which is exactly what A to Z Sports draft guru Ryan Roberts projects Denver doing in his latest three-round mock draft.
Let's take a look at his selections for the Broncos and break them down.
No. 20: WR Luther Burden III, Missouri
"Quarterback Bo Nix put together a tremendous rookie season. Continuing to add impact skill talent around him is big for the Broncos to take the next step. Burden is an after the catch dynamo that can make a quarterback's job easy." – A to Z Sports college football and NFL draft analyst Ryan Roberts
If Burden is still available when the Broncos hit the clock at No. 20, they should jump all over him. Burden is puzzlingly sliding down draft boards recently, but his talent is undeniable. He would complement Courtland Sutton well, and bring some much needed speed to Denver's offense. Burden racked up 192 receptions for 2,263 yards, 234 rushing yards, and 25 total touchdowns in three years at Mizzou.
No. 51: RB Omarion Hampton, UNC
"He is a stout running back who can do a little bit of everything out of the backfield. Whether it be zone or gap concepts, Hampton can do it all for you. He can run through defenders and can soften angles to avoid defenders. However, he struggles to make defenders miss in open space and that could be viewed as limiting." – A to Z Sports Minnesota Vikings beat writer Tyler Forness
Hampton could be the workhorse RB that the Broncos need. His stout 6-foot-1, 220 pound frame can handle carrying the load, and he can pick up the tough yards on short yardage situations. Hampton may not have the breakaway speed to rip off huge runs, but he will rarely ever get stuffed for small gains. Hampton would round out Denver's offense and legitimize not only its running game, but play-action attack.
No. 85: LB Chris Paul Jr., Ole Miss
"His combination of range and instincts allowed him to make plays all over the field. The problem for Paul is he’s very small for NFL standards. He weighed in at just 224 pounds, which would put him in the 4th percentile for the position since 1999. The good news is that his speed does make up for that lack of range in terms of tackle radius, but it will be something to monitor closely." – A to Z Sports college football and NFL draft analyst Ryan Roberts
Paul was one of the biggest standouts at the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl. He proved that despite being on the small side, he plays with tremendous speed and possesses great ball skills. Smaller LBs are becoming more common in the NFL nowadays as they have to be able to defend athletic tight ends and running backs. Paul could develop as a backup and has potential to be a special teams ace.
