The Denver Broncos could be featured on the next season of HBO's "Hard Knocks" regardless of whether they would want to or not.

"Hard Knocks" is a yearly reality show which follows one particular NFL team during their summer training camp. Each year teams are asked to participate, and often teams turn it down due to not wanting the extra distraction leading up to the season.

However, the NFL can "force" a team to participate if they haven't been on the show in the past 10 years, don't have a first-year head coach, or haven't made the playoffs in one of the past two seasons.

The Broncos meet all of those qualifications, and therefore could be on the next season of "Hard Knocks" if the NFL decides to choose them.

On paper, Denver seems like a good fit for the show. Broncos coach Sean Payton will be entering his second season with the team and, given his popularity, could be interesting coach to feature on the show.

Another intriguing storyline would be Denver's quarterback situation. Some believe the Broncos will cut current QB Russell Wilson this spring, which would mean a new face at the most important position in Denver. Payton with a new QB would make for some exciting television, especially if said QB is an established veteran in the NFL.

If the Broncos decide to stick with Wilson in 2024, a Broncos "Hard Knocks" would remain an interesting watch given Wilson's unique personality, as viewers would love to see how Wilson gels (or doesn't gel) with his fellow teammates.
