The Denver Broncos lost a division game that they absolutely needed on Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers. Win, and they're in. Lose, and well, they have two more games to get one more win, against the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs.
Now, really the Broncos beat themselves. They started the game hot, scoring more than 20 points before halftime, which is the opposite of most of the games they have played this year. Usually, they start the game slow and finish strong, like they did against the Indianapolis Colts last week. They finished pretty weak in this one. The Broncos were only able to score six total points in the second half, two field goals, one in each quarter.
So, they lost because of their inability to score the football. But, the refs sure didn't help them. There were so many either blatantly missed calls or calls called on Denver that just simply shouldn't have been. The one that sticks out the most, is the missed pass interference call that would have put wide receiver Marvin Mims and the Broncos in the red zone.
The refs, after the game, of course, claimed that the defender's timing was great and that it was not a pass interference penalty. And, when you watch the replay, that just couldn't be further from the truth.
It really makes you think if the refs even saw the play.
One website, I guess you could say, or a Twitter account, called the rest out and roasted them in the best way possible.
Yes, you read that name right. That is the LASIK account on Twitter offering free LASIK eye surgery to the refs for missing a call that was so obvious.
Now, sure, Bo Nix definitely underthrew the ball. It was a bad throw, but that doesn't change the fact that the defender was not playing the ball, as his head was not turned around, and the timing was not great by the defender. It was pass interference.
The Broncos move on, put this behind them, and get back in the lab.
Broncos’ wide receiver clearly frustrated during loss to Chargers
The Denver Broncos' offense stalled once again in Week 6 versus the Chargers. Honestly, the offense has needed a jumpstart for most of the season. QB Russell Wilson has not provided that. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy looked very frustrated on the sideline during the game. Jeudy was actually the most productive Broncos' wideout. He had […]
