The Denver Broncos need to be better next season. The front office brought in Sean Payton to help turn things around by pairing their franchise quarterback with a hall-of-fame-caliber coach.

Getting Kansas City twice a year is never easy, but the team could immediately turn some heads by sneaking one win out of the two matchups. Payton, Wilson, and Broncos fans will certainly be hoping so, although no one will be holding their breath.

Outside of the regular matchups against fellow AFC West foes, here is the breakdown of who the team will be facing, and when.

Here is the full schedule

  • Week 3: @ Miami Dolphins (Sunday, Sep. 24, 11:00am MT)

  • Week 14: @ Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday, Dec. 10, 2:25pm MT)
  • Week 15: @ Detroit Lions (TBD, Saturday, Dec. 16 or Sunday, Dec. 17)
  • Week 16: vs. New England Patriots (Sunday, Dec. 24, 6:15pm MT)
  • Week 17: vs. Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday, Dec. 31, 2:25pm MT)
  • Week 18: @ Las Vegas Raiders (TBD, Saturday, Jan. 6, or Sunday, Dec. 7)

The Broncos landing some primetime games will hopefully differ from what happened last season. In their first matchup, it appears bettors think this team may have taken an important step in the right direction. Denver opens the season as 3.5 favorites over the Raiders, a surprising development and a huge boost for the team before playing a single snap.

Make sure to clear your schedule as all eyes will be on Payton and Wilson. Here's hoping the team has figured out its issues and is able to put a product on the field worthy of the fans' time and money.
