The 2024 NFL Draft is now just days away and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix is largely projected to join the Denver Broncos.

That would make even more sense now considering the team recently acquired former New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, meaning their room of signal-callers now includes Wilson, Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci.

That doesn't exactly make for the most solid group at the position in the NFL.

Nix was recently asked on The Up & Adams Show about the possibility of joining Sean Payton's team.

"I hear that a lot, you know. It would be an honor, you know like Drew Brees, he got toplay for Sean Payton and they won a Super Bowl and had great success," he said. "He led the league in a lot of statistical categories, had a lot of good seasons, so I'm never going to argue if I get to play for one of the better coaches of all time, or argue when I get to play for a coach with that much experience."

But, where does Nix fit best and hope to go at the next level? He told us that he doesn't have anywhere in specific in mind when we asked him in the pre-draft process.

"Eventually, I'll hopefully be one of 32 quarterbacks in the league that get to lead a franchise," Nix said. "Whoever that is, I'll be excited about it."

One thing he understands fully, though, is that there will be a notable transition that will require a but of a learning curve. The Oregon offense and the concepts within it have set him up well to adjust to NFL plays and terminology.

Having to learn a new system and facing a set of challenges is something he is no stranger to, though, as he had his ups and downs at Auburn before becoming one of the best quarterbacks in college football while at Oregon.

"I feel like, eventually, I learned that adversity is gonna happen regardless, no matter what you try to do or what you try to avoid, you're always going to hit adversity," Nix explained.

"So, it's inevitable. You've got to essentially go out there and play not fearing adversity or thinking about it, but just knowing that, hey, it's going to eventually happen and that you've got to respond well. The best, most successful players usually respond to that adversity quickly and very efficiently and they find a way to solve the problem."

Whether or not Nix indeed becomes a Bronco will be one of the most-watched topics when the draft gets underway Thursday.
