One of quarterback Bo Nix’s weapons won’t be available for the contest. Tight end Lucas Krull has been placed on injured reserve after cracking a bone in his foot on Thursday.

Krull has stepped up in the early stages of the season with the absence of both tight end Evan Engram and Nate Adkins. While only managing two catches for 15 yards, he’s performed the best while in pass-blocking sets.

In a corresponding move, the team promoted inside linebacker Garrett Wallow from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, a move that we covered in our Friday injury report.

Wallow has been elevated from the practice squad in the previous three games, meaning the team was required to sign him to the 53-man roster if they wanted him to play. The team can keep him on their practice squad, but he can’t be elevated to play again during the regular season unless they sign him to the 53-man roster. Wallow has been a difference-maker on special teams, playing in 61 percent of the snaps.

Broncos are relatively healthy heading into Week 5

Outside of Krull’s injury, the team is entering the Week 5 matchup with a relatively clean bill of health, as indicated by the Friday injury report. Every player outside of Krull was a full participant, giving Nix and the offense nearly all of his weapons after a dominant performance over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mims Jr. was a full participant, but even if he was limited, we’re not sure he would be denied. Mims Jr. had been limited on Saturday, ahead of the ‘Monday Night Football’ contest against the Bengals.

Ultimately, Mims Jr. played and even found the end zone, hauling in six catches for 58 yards along the way.

With a mostly clean injury report and key contributors trending in the right direction, Denver appears well-positioned in hopes of shocking the world with an upset over the reigning Super Bowl champs.
