Pro Football Focus thinks the Denver Broncos should make a trade that would generate plenty of NFL headlines.

PFF recently pointed out four teams that they think should fill a major need this offseason via trade instead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

When it comes to the Broncos, PFF thinks the franchise should address its need at wide receiver by trading for controversial Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens.

From PFF: Denver has been notably quiet in targeting weapons to bolster this offense – something many thought would be their prime directive this offseason – as Evan Engram has been the biggest signing.

That may signal that this front office will be targeting weapons outside of free agency, and while it could be geared towards a draft selection, another likely route would be through trade.

Enter: George Pickens. The Steelers acquired D.K. Metcalf via trade and subsequently extended the former Seattle Seahawks receiver with a massive deal worth over $30 million annually. Given the unlikelihood of Pittsburgh allocating even more money at the position – with looming extension talks for T.J. Watt on the horizon – the probability of a Pickens trade is high.

Metcalf and Pickens largely share similar skill sets as downfield threats that can win at the catch point, and with the latter’s contract set to expire after this season, teams will be interested.

Pickens could be on the move this offseason after the Steelers recently added two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf to the roster via a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Steelers signed Metcalf to a five year contract worth $150 million after acquiring the former Ole Miss Rebels standout.

Pickens has elite talent. At his best, he's capable of being one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

The problem for Pickens has ben staying away from trouble on the field.

Pickens' talent is tantalizing. If he can cut down on the controversial on-field moments, the former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver could become one of the league's top players.

It's easy to see why Denver could be intrigued by the idea of trading for Pickens.
