The Denver Broncos fired their offseason head coach hire Nathaniel Hackett last week, and it was probably a move that was long overdue.
Hackett wasn't good. He was a guy that seemed to be one that was great to be around and was constantly positive, and the players liked him, but unfortunately, that doesn't win football games.
There is a chance he can be a good head coach eventually, just not in Denver. So, they move on, and they fix it. I mean, that is the only thing they can do.
Since then special assistant Jerry Rosburg was named interim head coach and actually coached a decent game last week against the Chiefs.
I'm sure Rosburg will be one candidate for the actual job come next year, but there is a report that the Broncos have already started looking.
Per Pro Football Talk, the Denver Broncos reached out to Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines and brother of Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, to talk about their head coaching position.
Jim Harbaugh took the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl where he lost to the Baltimore Ravens and lost to his brother. Harbaugh can be a great coach and can build this team into something similar to what he had in San Francisco, which is a defensive-minded team that can run the ball. Similar to what Shanahan has done today.
